ERGONOMICS
Voran Safety Footwear, an Extension of Your Body
All Voran Safety Footwear models have an ergonomic design that greatly enhances comfort, allowing for the shoe to become an extension of our own bodies. Ergonomics are essential when designing safety footwear. Ergonomics are key to preventing and protecting people from accidents and all kinds of injuries, promoting a safe and friendly work environment. When ergonomics are applied to a specific product, it helps prevent occupational illnesses and accidents. New technologies incorporated into our products make it possible for the materials and textures to adapt to the foot’s anatomy, optimizing well-being.
Ergonomics and Physical Disorders
Musculoskeletal disorders are one of the most common causes of time off at work, producing temporal or permanent reduced functionality and productivity. As a consequence of an acquired disability, the torso, spine, lower and upper limbs can all be affected, including adjacent joints, and bone, tendon, and muscle structures. The joints and spine are the most affected.
Some of the factors that can contribute to these disorders are wearing inadequate or low-quality footwear, the type of movement, task, and time spent in the task, the load being handled, lifted, and moved, posture changes, forced and static postures kept during long periods of time, as well as the workload. Standing for long periods of time can produce alterations in the circulatory system of the lower limbs, causing fatigue, pain, and numbness, and will probably affect the worker’s thighs, legs, and feet. When this happens over long periods of time (years), it can trigger severe diseases or injuries with permanent consequences. The cervical and lumbar spine are also affected. The tension generated by static or inadequate postures of the neck and torso affect blood flow and can cause fatigue to the joints and muscle structure in those areas. In conclusion, holding inadequate postures over long periods of time and wearing inadequate footwear can cause alterations at both an emotional level and the musculoskeletal level, and will affect productivity, performance, quality of work, and the overall life quality of each worker.Research + Development + Innovation
At Voran Safety Footwear, we constantly aim at improving our competitiveness and quality. That’s why our R+D+I department is considered a key factor when creating and developing new products. We are constantly testing new materials for resistance and researching new technologies for implementation, allowing us to continue to improve our products all the time.
Ergonomics is at the core of our development process, guaranteeing that products will seamlessly adapt to our users’ needs, with an eye set on looking after them from the very creation of our models.
Voran Energy Benefits
The unique sole with an Infinergy® by BASF core offers an entirely new walking sensation, returning over 55% of the energy to the user when walking, protecting the joints and preventing feet fatigue.
Thanks to the state-of-the-art technology, our safety shoes give freedom of movement. The outsole design is inspired by the natural movement of the foot when walking, which reduces fatigue and provides greater stability in each step. Due to their sole and insole, our models provide anatomic comfort that stimulates and improves blood flow, avoiding muscle fatigue, posture problems and sore feet. Also, thanks to their lightness and flexibility, Voran shoes improve routine performance, avoiding unnecessary effort.
